IF I LIVED IN THE 90’s

NAMASTE everyone welcome back to my blog,SHIVICTIONARY.so you know when I talk to my dad ,sometimes he talks about the olden days or should I say the simpler days🀧…..and whenever I hear him telling me about his generation and his days I get so caught up in listening to him ,it feels like I’m hearing about my dreamland 🀩…….and I thought that what if I lived in the 90’s….

LETTER WAS THE ONLY WAY TO COMMUNICATE

Believe me or not but even now I love writing letters I write letters to my grandparents ,I know I can call and talk to them but my thinking is that a letter shows more effort and love🀩

So that would be my fav part that I just have to write letters to my special friends and wait for there reply…..disadvantage of WhatsApp and these messaging apps is that if someone has your number then he or she just assumes themselves in your friend list even if I dont know them…..but your adress is something that only your close friends know so letter is such a great option ,its not a fast process but atleast you know that you are talking to a person who cares about you because they are actually showing efforts by writing a long letter to you😭😒

I WOULD ACTUALLY COMMUNICATE WITH PEOPLE

You know a thing that happens some people….they’ll talk to you for months online and you guys will bond but then when you’ll see each other you will just not have the guts to face each other and talk like you normally do……you will see them, you want to talk to them, but due to your shyness you can’t…..trust me I am a shy person I can relate πŸ™‚πŸ€£πŸ€£ even if you meet me I’ll be like : hi ummm hi actually uhhhhh soo ummmmm so well ahem *coughs and tries to disappear*

So if there won’t be any online platform to talk on then we will actually talk to new people and try to know them…..because just talking online is not a actual way of communicating I don’t consider it as communication specially when it comes to friends

KIDS WERE NOT UNDER THE ROCK OF MATURITY

Exactly……you won’t even believe me that kids who are of age 13 are talking about strict diets to control there weight….these days people are so conscious about there looks and they have forgotten that looks are NOT EVERYTHING……now I’m not saying that if you are overweight then stay fat don’t take care of your health but atleast don’t make looks your life I know that people believe in that BOOKS ARE ACTUALLY JUDGED BY ITS COVER but does that mean that what’s inside the book doesn’t matters at all ?

So I feel the olden times were more easy that way atleast at that time KIDS WERE ACTUALLY KIDS and not just little-seniors with a lot of tension that they should not even worry aboutπŸ™‚ [little seniors?? That was clever I know🀣🀣🀣😎]

FUN HAD OTHER DEFINITION

My dad tells me that when he was a kid he used to come home from school and then go again outside to play cricket they didn’t even care about food or even homework (okay even I don’t care about homework) and there was so much physical activities then……and meeting friends after school was a habit so when my dad used to tell his mother that he is meeting his parents she never used to get shocked but when I tell my mom that I going to meet my friends she is like

HAPPINESS WOULD HAVE HAD OTHER FACTORS

Happiness had such simple factors then…..but now we have so many expectations from life….now even life is like : bro I’m loaded with expectations

Living in the 90’s would be so much decent trust me😒 why do I feel like I’m a grandma and I’m telling little kid about my days—- trust me guys I’m just 15 yrs oldπŸ˜πŸ˜‚ (Btw what would you do if you got a chance to live in the 90’s?)

P.S I got a lot of questions from you all

And yaaa if you also wanna ask me some questions then you can ask me here and I’ll answer it in one of my upcoming posts so go ahead and ask me questions 🀩

Thank youπŸ’œπŸ€˜

If I lived in the 90’s, I’d probably be more close to nature…I’d have a totally different music taste of the 90’s *and not be judged about it cuz that’s the kind of music they had back then *.
There would be less competition =little stress= a Mentally Sound lifestyle…
And of course, have a very different definition of HAPPINESS…

    Wonderful concept πŸ’«
And yes, looks are NOT everything! There’s so much beneath your skin that defines you…I hope people keep that in mind…

I mean, I feel to some extent I am a 90s kid, because like people who are my age in general, don’t go on diets and stuff- like proper keto diets and stuff and we also aren’t much into social media and stuff- like we’ve all know times when ipods existed and music wasn’t available to us just on one click and we’ve also seen Shahrukh Khan’s films from when he was younger- DDLJ and stuff, and when 100 rupees was an amount which could be considered large, lol

    So, like yeah idk

    β€œLittle Seniors” 🀣🀣

Actually they’re. One of our neighbour looking for a hostel to let their child get admission into it.

Then they do not worry about their child’s education. HE’LL BE DOING AWESOME IN STUDIES, they think.

    That’s so sad. 😏🀨

I got admission in the Navodaya school at the age of 11, and I know how much hard it’s to live like that.

Thank you for the post. I enjoyed reading it. πŸ˜πŸ’‘

Great post! Very creative and totally relatable. When I told my mom, I am going out. She asked me what’s wrong. especially with covid. School and home are the only places I go. The only thing I do is hibernate πŸ˜‚

    2. Well sending letters were surely a huge thing. I used to check letter box a lot for letters. Going to post office/post box and dropping letters into it was another fun. Then seen the red mini truck πŸš› and running after it to see if we received anything. πŸ˜…

  7. What a great post! …and yes I feel old. I am kind of old. But I lived in the 90s. and the 80s. and even the 70s! My favorite music was in the 80s. With my “boom box” and cassettes! And no cell phones. And in the 70s I rode my bike after school and walked to the woods at the end of my street. Love this post Shivi! 😊
